Just a quick note to say it's getting harder to find support for 32bit machines even with light weight Linux OS.
Having dabbled with Linux for many years I feel it is only recently that Linux has arrived. My recent experience after having gone back to Win7/10, was an eye opener and for the first time it truly felt as if i could leave Windows behind without upheaval. Linux, and that includes most variations of it, as it is so easy to play around and find something suitable, really is now a contender.
If you haven't had a go. Why not? You can revive an otherwise totally useless machine, Puppy Linux for old and slow machines can be stuck on a USB stick and will run from RAM. Plug in and go. There is almost no messing about getting this and that to work etc. It is easy these days.
