Hi.
The set had been performing great until a week ago. I then noticed some drift after 15 minutes or so then it would stabilise. I thought it might be the use of an ECC88, substituting a good ECC85 made no difference to the drift but as expected lower sensitivity. After a bit of prodding about the thin AFC lead came off the top of the tuner. On close examination it was seen that there was no solder on the hole in the tag but solder lower down, so it has been like this from day one. After soldering the connection properly normal service has been restored.
