How bad does it have to be before its a scrapper set?

I've been away for a week so am in catch-up mode at the moment but, returning to the original 'scrapper', that is an excellent job, Sam. The escutcheon replacement is much more in keeping with the original than my suggestion and really looks good - well worth the effort.

We've even got an unintended selfie, courtesy of the polycarbonate back!

I guess, regarding the original question, I'm guilty of wanting to restore even the worst basket cases, even if it is not entirely worth it. I suppose, it's a case of 'one day, I'll sort out the case, lets get the thing working first'.
