Really old valves, now in stock!

I madly bought a huge parcel of valves, mostly new, some even in boxes.
In amongst them are some very old ones, 2D2, 78, EC50, 42E, EF50, 6L1, 6C6, U31, 6A8, 132,  etc. And some very odd US bases with fatter heater pins, can't remember which base that is.
Far too many to list, but if anyone wants anything specific then please let me know. I can bring any to Golborne next month.
There was a sad moment when I found a new 807, but gone to air. Ah well there are plenty more.
Also some E180F specials with gold pins, M8224-0B2WA whatever that is, and some transmitting valves of later vintage.
Anyone want P range? I have thousands but don't do televisions.

Fortunately a vacuum doesn't weigh much. They are not on board, far too many. I'll get round to testing and cataloguing them but it will take a long while. There is about 25 kilos.

The odd thing is Sam that my consumption of Valves is surprisingly low, and as with most Components, the chances of having the right one when required is low. So, I tend to buy them as and when required. The Weather is picking up, the Garage is becoming habitable again so there's scope for getting a few things done.

Hi Sam, there are quite a few articles in the old magazines about the use of P series in home brew sets as their characteristics are the same as E series but slightly different heater volts
(7 to 10v, not 6.3v in the lower power valves). These days it can be quite easy to fit an appropriate transformer to use a P valve as opposed to an E series.
That said the transformer trick will work equally well on the higher power types as well PL36/81/ 84 sub for EL36/81/84 etc.

If you get weary of selling singly or some don't sell then you might consider giving them to the Colossus project and others.  I can give you the name of a courier who took my contribution from Harpenden, he possibly will be at Golborne and NVCF.
