Another nice surprise at the AGM was my friend and ex-work mate Jerry Day being made an Honorary Member. He joined the same time as me and for 3 or 4 years, living near, looked after the hall opening, putting out the tables and away at the end, clearing up and using the broom. When he moved away, and for the last 10 years, he has done the job of Treasurer. A lot of work particularly as he is not retired and holds down a full time job. So well done Jerry.

He is stepping down and a new person has taken over; he was quickly voted in as no one else wanted the job !!

Carl said he is short of articles so if anyone feels like writing something ...

Speaking of Aldi, this Thursday's 'Special Buys' are a 2.5HP compressor for £89.00, plus a range of air tools, all with the usual 3-yr warranty of 'Workzone' tools.

I just don't have space for a compressor and have never felt handicapped by not having one, but were I tempted to buy one, this one could well fit the bill.
