My wife finally found some of the photo's from The Farmhouse Restraunt/Hotel job we did, appologies for the delay....
We made all the oak frames off site and checked assembly before site work commenced, the gable frames were the most awkward to put up as at that point the whole site was canopied including the sides. All the beams for the outside walkway were scarf jointed, the support posts were on granite blocks with stainless steel locating pins, the gable frame posts were on stainless steel shoes on box section upstands. Chief hillbilly is in one of the pictures. The gable frame timbers were hoisted up and lowered into place with a manual chain hoist, the beams for the outside walkway were lifted up using a hand powered fork lift.
Lawrence.
