hi guys , heres the valve line up, ez40 ,el41, ebc41, ef41 ,ech42 , there the little glass envelope valves with no gap in the pins and a glass blip on side,

trouble re iding the set is that im almost sure pye ireland ltd used a different code for model numbering, than the uk system , however if i get an equivelent model no i can work off that , thanks v much guys for your interest, maitiu.

thanks for the pic paula a, it has the same overall shape and layout except for the dial and the speakercloth design plus the finish is lighter. note also your example has a curved top front whereas mine is flat, thanks for your interest , best regards maitiu.

The valve linup is the same so I would assume apart from some very minor differences perhaps in the front end and the tuning stringing they will be almost identical. The P76 isn't exactly rare (there are something like 10 on ebay right now at around £15 (not worth more than £5 imho.. I must have scrapped 20 of them in my teens).

Steve seems to be the expert on all things Pye Ireland. Other information is scarce.

hi paula a ,the value of any radio to people like us is only a secondary consideration with people involved in restoration, its more of an exercise in practical physics, i personally wouldent buy a set off ebay principly because we have an abundance of 'postman pats' over here, and one would be liable to end up with a collection of componants in a parcle,

thanks allen, very interesting indeed, the p90 is the most like the layout of my set , with the large oval speaker, except for the curved top front on cabinet, my cabinet is flat on top [box like] and doesent taper , so its the same width at top as at bottom, no worm tg but very scratched , thanks for your interest , warmest regards maitiu.
