thanks guys, three wavebands long, med and short, made in ireland printed on backboard, cant see valve nos except i recognise an ebc41, 5 valves all told , will try and get them out later for id , fixed ferral aerial, so set has to be turned around for ideal reception, cabinet in rag order, especially top, had to scrape finish off completely, tesco shopping bag at the ready for speakercloth replacement, otherwise nice radio, ill fill in more info as i go , warmest regards to all, maitiu.
In the 50's PYE had a factory in Dundrum Dublin.I think the sets produced there were for the Irish market and although based on UK designs usually had something extra like Trawler band or more SW bands.
