Thank you very much - that link gives me greater clarity.
The item itself seems to carry the label 'Dim Bulb Tester' and 'Current Limiter' as the most common returns, but they all brought about the same results with regards to the wiring whether they be one or two-bulb set-ups. These were rather exhaustive searches including YT as well, but much is assumed by the creator, and excusing a lot of what is seen being geared for 100v mains voltage, the setup is the same. However, the link you provided explains it much more clearly.
