As I pointed out way back in this thread I use my Huawei P30 for this.
I take the photo, crop it if necessary and email to myself as I prefer to add posts and photos on the PC. It takes seconds to crop a photo on Android and change the file size to meet the forums requirements. The difference between the full size photo and a smaller file size is only seen when massively zooming in.
For me this works beautifully, no faffing with photo programs, just takes seconds, no sweat or tears. Plus you have the original as well.
