My biggest disaster on that front was at the old house when I squashed a large Drum of PVA on a to shelf where there really wasn't room. During the night it fell off, the lid came off and about a gallon of PVA spread over everything underneath. I'm still finding things stuck together, and that was about 10 years ago.
