Correct Ref.
The log sheet I originally had gave the civilian reg (T plate) and the year of manufacture the same but the vehicles ID number on the log sheet didn't tally up with that date, the vehicles ID number on the log sheet tallied up with the ID number on the vehicles ID plate which was attached to the side of the seat base, and it also tallied up with the vehicles ID number which is stamped on the inside of the front dumb iron, knowing a bit about Landrovers I knew the vehicles ID number was for a military Landrover (the Landrover was a Lightweight aka Air Portable) I also knew that the vehicles ID number pertained to a Lightweight Landrover and more specifically to a Series III, I could also tell by the number that is was an early production Series III Lightweight, I also knew when they came into production, the ID number was close to the date needed for tax exempt, too close so I needed definite proof, hence the records from Gaydon which I sent for, from then on DVLA were convinced having sent them the proof from Gaydon.
