Well I've decided to just remove all the wiring and components that look like they aren't original, (most of it) and rewire it as per the diagram, checking along the way to see if it's different in any way. It's a mess and needs doing. Hopefully this will work out. The only question is, if there's 3 incarnations of it, is the diagram with handwritten notes on it correct for the one I have. Please also if anyone has a working one could I get some photos of its insides, to check against mine.
