Drill Speed Controller for 12V PCB Drill (Query).

I've now made a little 'comb-jointed' box from scrap iroko in which to house the controller, a front panel for the controls and have finalised the project. Some pics attached.

The box looks a bit ratty in the first pic as I'd just tried the transformer in it for size and hadn't cleaned up the box at that stage.

The size of the box is 13cms wide, x 13 cms deep, by 10cms high (5" x 5" x 4") and was dictated by the size of the transformer.

Basically, it hasn't cost me a bean - all of the bits came from my 'spares box'.

It works really well at all speeds, and retains its torque with no slowing down when drilling.

Thanks once more for those who advised me on my technical queries - it turned out that no heat-sink was needed.
