Started a few things, but lately I never seem to get the time to put the final finishing touch to them.

Again, ditto here. Most of the outside work has now been completed - and what isn't will just have to wait until things cool down a bit. Having said that, it's not much cooler indoors, either!
Earlier today, I was asked "You're my Mr. Fixer: can you have a look at this ('desktop') fan, please? The blades have stopped going around." Inspection revealed that the motor bearings had seized (usual cheapo gram. motor): B.E.R. Can't complain, though, since it was initially retrieved from a now ex-employer's skip about 6 years ago: all it then needed was a good clean and re-lube and it has a had a lot of use since. It's now gone back into a skip - having salvaged a few bits 'n' pieces. "Ashes to ashes; dust to dust": skip to skip.
