Yes, agreed. One of the 'joys' of having regular employment is that it does give a form of structure to one's life, even if it is somewhat non-optional. In the work-place, I always took the attitude that I was a Simple Soldier: give me instructions as to what you want done and by when - now leave me to get on with it: thank you. What used to really annoy me was when that was taken a step further - being told just how to do the job - when I had previously and copiously demonstrated that I was perfectly capable of doing it - provided that I was left alone to simply get on with it. The saying of having a dog and teaching it how to bark always sprang to mind.
