OK done that and when I select it as my browser all my top bars (file, edit, print etc) disappear, it just looks like the normall google search page, checked my internet settings in the PCs control box and it says that internet explorer is my browser, tried shutting down PC and restarting...still the same...appologies for any ignorance.
