A cabinet for the Pye 65A.

The cabinet is almost fully assembled. The third picture shows the cabinet of the AC mains Pye model 15A which was copied to create the cabinet for the battery model 65A.

I've got a Pye 39J/H Chassis and I managed to buy a Dial. Now it needs a Cabinet ........

Hi Alan,
A cabinet for the 39J/H might not be as easy to replicate. The 65A is essentially just a box.
Trevor is not all that concerned about a battery shelf because the battery pack he has made for the 65A fits on the existing accumulator board which is located on the chassis. It occupies the space where the mains transformer is fitted in the 15A.
But for the sake of completeness I might well make a HT battery shelf anyway. To assist replication of that part there is the shelf in the Pye (Ireland) model 69B for reference.

Actually, someone had a Case and I was going to put my Chassis and Dial into it. However, a series of Domestic disasters overtook me and the Deal was never done.
I must search my PMs to see who it was because I've forgotten - somewhere near Sheffield if I remember rightly.

I've got a real 39J/H and a P41, the Export Version, but not an A39J/H. There was one on ebay last week but it was in outer Mongolia so I didn't get it

Hi.

Well it's been a few weeks since David came up with the cabinet. Since then I've been busy with amps, Anne was in hospital and I've had my issues too!
I've now scanned and printed out the dial (Thank you Alan) and at long last ordered up some speaker cloth.
Here is the cabinet with the complete chassis and the dial.
Once the cloth arrives I'll get the speaker in and post up another picture. Incidentally the cabinet is excellent.
