A cabinet for the Pye 65A.

Today, I decided I needed something that would be would have a successful outcome, and it's certainly not fixing or attempting to fix LCD TVs.
We know Trevor's Pye 65A battery radio needs a cabinet to house the chassis so I've set about making one.  
The results of today work are the top, bottom and side panels.
Later today the front panel will be made.  
The attachments show  the work done so far.

This morning the five cabinet panels were test assembled, everything fits perfectly.
For the next stage of the 65A cabinet construction my attention will concentrated on the details of the front panel.

Today, the cabinet front panel replication job was completed.   Everything is ready for the final assembly.

Since this picture was taken the clamps have been removed and the final stage of the assembly has started.

Hi Trevor,
Just a few jobs to finish the cabinet recreation. The cabinet sits on two strips of wood, 9" X 3 X 4" X 3/8". The cabinet back is secured by three 1/2" X 1/2" wood strips.
Spacer blocks to be fitted to set the position of the loudspeaker baffle.

Then the sufaces will need sanding and lacquering.

I've found four control knobs which will look right for this set. Made by Pekalit Germany.
