A cabinet for the Pye 65A.

The loudspeaker has been cleaned and painted, looks a lot better now.
The ARP12 is an equivalent of the Mazda VP23.   The ARP12 was made by Mullard and is most likely to be the only valve made by Mullard to use the Mazda octal base.  For the HL23DD I'm using an ARP8.

These 2volt valve radios can give almost as good results as many AC mains receivers.

I agree, and for a few watts of power. My 67A is drawing 4W from its 7.2V battery (which supplies a DC-DC converter giving HT, LT, and GB. (And 0.5W of this lights the scale lamp...)

I'm conscious that it's not yet giving its best, but it does sound good! 1W rated output from the QP25!

Bought a metal Pye badge from an eBay seller.  This will be attached to the reconstructed Pye 65A cabinet. But where should it be fitted on the cabinet front?  At the top centre above the loudspeaker escutcheon or between the control knobs?  I favour the latter.
