I have had a weeks break from this radio because I have been busy doing drawings and plans for my new shed.
But tonight I decided to have a concerted effort to finish the radio.
I had one more transistor to replace with an AF125, normally it was masked by the chassis so while I had it all apart I decided to change it.
There are 2 more suspect transistors on the board but the radio is working quite well for now.
I carried out an IF alignment to the best of my ability and realigned the FM RF circuits.
I also peaked the AM IF as well as it had been interfered with at some time in the past.
The tuning cord had to be replaced in the end as where it had a near miss with the soldering iron it finally frayed and was binding on the drive capstan.
