Nice pic Kevig  looks like you not jut got oe, but a breeding pair! (And a teaser glims f an AVO valve tester in the edge of the pic!). To use my daughter-in-law  as a metaphor, as she would say "you can't have too many handbags or pairs of shoes".

I've recently acquired my second one of these testers, as the first one is used almost every day and I want to give the poor thing a bit of a rest.

Mine are numbers 600 (blue case) and 1410 (green case).

Out of interest, exact replacement handles are still made and there are obtainable from the US. They are Bud H-9112-B and look much better than the rusty old things that were on my first tester.

The only thing I haven't been able to locate is a spare 110V 0.5W Ediswan Neon bulb

Hi Adam,

I'm not sure if it's a small bayonet cap type, but if so, I've got a new old stock one, which is about 50mm long including the cap, and about 15mm diameter, with a more or less flat glass lens. It's marked 'Philips, Holland 022-9705'  which means nothing to me, and has the 'up arrow' sign often used to denote military. I've no idea what its designated Voltage is, but I've tested it and it strikes at 100V and glows quite nicely from 120 - 240V, only slightly brighter at 240V than at 120V.

I've attached a couple of (poor quality) pics - yours FOC if it's any use to you.

The later CRB3 has a Philips bulb, whereas the earlier has an expiring Ediswan.... In that case I'll be pleased to use your example as the Ediswan's replacement.

Hi, I am trying to re-cap an old Hunts capacitor analyser and resistance bridge type CRB3 which has been stored in my loft for over 25 years. This came from the radio museum in Dulwich. Some of the capacitor's have been remove and I've been unable to find a schematic for it. If someone could help me I would appreciate it, I've just retired and this is my new hobby, so lots to learn.

Replacement caps in the attached pics are:

Pic 1 16uF+16uF 500v electrolytic and just beneath that, in front of the rectifier, is a 0.01uF 1000V PIO

Pic 2 0.02uF Sillver Mica (0.5%)*, 0.1uF 400V PIO (10%) and 2uF 160V PIO (5%)

Pic 3 0.47uF 250V PIO (10%)
