Occupying the site of the former RNAS Anthorn (HMS Nuthatch). There are 13 masts on the site - each 227 metres tall - arranged in two rings around the central mast. There are three transmitters on site: one VLF, one LF and an eLORAN. Three atomic clocks were installed at Anthorn in 2007 by the National Physical Laboratory - it is from the Anthorn site that the national time signal is transmitted.
