The Radio Experimenters Handbook - 1922

I have just found this book: The Radio Experimenters Handbook by PR Coursey. Originally published May 1922, this copy from a second impression in July 1922. While it's not my main field of interest it's good to look back at how things were done in the pre-BBC age.

I had a quick look at my download files but didn't find this one. I find them interesting too. More generally toward the late twenties though as the subject seems to gather steam.

I thought I had that book, but it turns out I have "The Radio Amateur's Handbook" by A. Frederick Collins, undated but presumably 1920s.

I have a couple of original Scott Taggart books of the same era, fun reading. Also have the F G Rayer book about building a radio, valve version. I spent ages reading that (from the library) when I was but a lad and did scrounge parts from the local radio shop (they gave me a dead battery portable radio which I took apart). I did build the one valve regen set and never looked back. I can still remember the coil specs. 1 and 1/8th inch diameter with 80 and 60 turns, I may be wrong but it is over 50 years ago and 1 1/8th inch is (was) the size of a bog roll inner.
