One of the interesting features of the 1960 PT Olympic TV receiver is in the sync separator circuit. A Mazda 6F33 is employed for the task of separating the line and frame sync pulses. For the latter function the valve operates as a Miller integrator. Taking advantage of the suppressor grid characteristics of the 6F33 the negative going video is supplied to that electrode.
Line sync pulses taken from the screen grid. A similar circuit appeared in an earlier edition of the magazine, sometime in the fifties I seem to remember. The valve used then was the Mazda Octal base 6F32.
