Possible, its a very well made cabinet if that is the case. There is a frame aerial on the inside of the plain back panel which would be uncommon on a radiogram.
The knobs look a bit HMV to me too. AC/DC, 2 short, MW, LW. 4? valve, superhet. 25Z4G rectifier, energised speaker. I would have thought 1940s. American import, but long wave would suggest not.

The central vertical scale made me think of GEC but the chassis doesn't equate to that.
