Ingelen FM module transistor replacement

I have an Ingelen TRV1003 UKW that’s not in the greatest condition cosmetically and has whiskered af114(osc) and af115(mixer) in the Fm module and in other positions.

I have done a few af11 type replacements in LW/MW modules but never in a Fm module and certainly nothing as daunting as this Ingelen, but I would like to have a go at this anyway.

I would like some advice on what replacement transistors I could use in the FM module other than AF124 and AF125 as I don’t have any of these here.  I need to get the choice of transistor right first time as I don’t want to have to remove this module again.

The transistors I have here are AF180, AF181, 2SA525 GT322b and GT322V.  Which of these would work well in the module?

THE AF180/181 should work but the layout is different so alignment may be out after. The GE322s have a lower HFE so may not be a good choice, off hand I'm not sure of their FT but think they are good for 200 mhz

The AF180 or AF181 ought to work but as Trevor says, the alignment may be affected. Their Ft at 150MHz is higher than the AF11x series but not so high as to be a problem. Common base circuits tend to be fairly tame - there are no problems with collector-base capacitance - so I'd go for the AF18x.

Thanks for the prompt replies and I will look at fitting the AF180/181 in the coming days. 

Just one more question - are these AF180/181 resin filled types? (see pic).

No issues with the photos here. They zoom fine and look reasonably sharp.

The photo on post 4 is good and blows up fine, photos in post 1 have no zoom and are awful.

I've just checked they are low resolution around 16kb, Did you upload thumbnails?

Photos were uploaded from my phone on to laptop as I have done previously. Doesn't matter now though.

The replacement transistors are in but there is a solid copper bullet that’s come adrift from the inside of L5 the osc coil (see post 1 for sheet).

Is it ok to pop it back in with a bit of superglue?  It’s made me a bit nervous now about what else might drop out of other coils once it’s all back together.
