Might try one of those rust treatment remedies. The chassis was fully re-capped by the previous owner so there shouldn't be any problems with it. The original CRT is the Mazda CRM121 and the later chassis I intend install has series heater chains and also a mains transformer for a 2volt heater tube. It should be possible to use a Mullard MW31-74 with the the donor chassis, the 0.3amp tube heater can be inserted in series with the ECL80 heaters which are at the bottom of the chain. Supplying the first anode voltage might be a problem on account of the design of the line output stage.
Given up with the idea of making brackets for the front controls. A better idea is plug the holes in the front panel with dowel pieces and drill new holes to suit the new chassis.
