a bout a year a go i bought an rs resistor kit from eb for £10 but never even opened it but to day i had a delivery of a lot of 1 watt resistors from china so dug out the kit, what a wounderfull idea even better most of the containers were full

That's a really handy way to store a wide range of resistors, Rob. I imagine it could be reproduced easily enough by anyone as long as the containers were available... but where to get them from?

it was a kit sold by radio spares years ago ,but if you know an industial chemist they use them for collecting bacteria samples

I'll certainly give this some thought. I have a whole load of resistors all mixed up in every value and size under the sun - and that's apart from the ones I already have sorted in divided plastic trays. Add to that loads of diodes and other small items and it means a protracted search unless I happen to have the component I need already sorted (about a 50-50 chance!). This tube storage method looks like something I've been wanting for years. I wonder if there's any chance of obtaining some surplus tubes at a better price, anywhere... after all, I'm going to need a great many of them.

Wonga is something I find hard to come by and that price is way over the top for my funds. I wonder how may they sell?
