Tesla wireless power runs a bike !

For those interested in Tesla's wireess power experiments, here is a transmission
from a large tesla coil powering a bike.
The demo starts in at about 2 mins in.
Note the sparks generated on the earth return chain.

I'm against wireless power. RFI is one reason and there are discussions on its safety as well, especially on high power uses. Wireless phone charging is very inefficient allegedly.

Interesting ideas and I can see that there is great interest in seeing Tesla's ideas becoming practical but I can see high electic field energy raises all kinds of issues. We maybe need to work to containing such sources of interfenence (maybe to life as well as equipment) rather than openly broadcasting. As mentioned, efficiency is likely to be low. Physical laws predict this.

Added benefit, it may replace the ozone layer.
But I cant see how it can ever be more efficient than batteries, after all the unused energy probably just wafts of into space.
I wonder how many kilowatts it took to produce the 100 odd watts to move the trike.
