Copper Tape

I was asked to see if I could do anything with this guitar pedal after an unsuccessful attempt by a friend to change the stomp switch.

   

I used copper tape which you can obtain for repelling slugs.

   

I didn't do a final picture but I used a bit of green laquer to cover it over and the end result was quite good.

Well salvaged. Does anyone remember the thin copper tape with self-adhesive backing which you could use to make pseudo PCBs? Was it called something like CirKit? I tend to use tinned copper wire for this sort of job. 18 or 20swg for areas that need mechanical strength, 26swg for smaller stuff and stripped bits of wire-wrap wire (30swg?) for fine work.

Hi, I got some of that tape as a freeby on the front of an electronics magazine back in the day.
I dont think it was very sticky and I had it kicking around for years unused.

I still have a PCB repair kit made by CIR-KIT, a selection of copper shapes and griplets (hollow rivets) as well as setting tools.
