At long last I have got round to joining this excellent forum, and thank you for letting me in!  I've long been a 'lurker' and have always been struck by the high standard of expertise of the members here. In comparison, my skills are modest but I do look forward to learning. It's also nice to see that several 'old friends', both present and not present elsewhere, are here.

So anyway, a big 'smiley' to start things off...

Good to see you here chaps. Sam, that would have been during my vintage "clear-out" in 2015, when a number of enthusiasts dropped by. I remember sitting opposite you when we had lunch at Morrisons.

You may recall at the time I was giving away boxes of loose valves in my workshop for free. I'd forgotten that amongst these were several PX4s. However, I later found these had been carefully set aside and left alone. This told me a lot about the calibre of my visitors.

The thing is... to keep yer pecker up. (Easy for me to say though).

Yes, I still have the excellent 'modern' Rover 75.  But it's my other Rover (1960 P4 100) that I'm using today to go to the Parkinson's group lunch at Dumbleton Hall. My Parkies seems to have stopped progressing this year, which is good news.

I'm keeping busy with the 405 broadcasting project.
