I have a ITT RC500 and it does not work on AM, FM works fine.
All I receive is buzzing from my overhead circular CFL magnifying light.
If I connect a loop around the radio connected to my signal generator it will receive a white noise when the Sig Gen is set to 468kHz. The IF is supposed to be 460kHz, does this mean the IF's are set wrong.
This noise is strongest when the radio is tuned to the low frequency end of the band.
I have removed and tested T6 and that seems to test OK on my little Chinese tester. The voltages on the transistor T6 are .7 on the base (a bit low) and 5.4 on the collector.
I find it is quite cramped on the board and difficult to work on.
I was hoping someone could point me at the likely cause to help save too much unnecessary removal of components.

thanks
Mike
