How different is this to a R24?

Thought someone would have had some input. It really is a very good performer. I have two R250 Revival which were more expensive but this sounds better with the bigger speaker.

The R25 (April 1986-April 1990) seems to have been a direct replacement for the R24 (June '83-April '86) as a mid-range Roberts portable. The obvious change is a perspex top panel replacing the R24's screen-printed black anodized aluminium, probably a good thing as the screen printing is none too durable. I don't know whether there was much internal change at all: there must at least have been a small adjustment to the chassis as the R24's pushbuttons are centrally positioned, the R25's offset to the right.
Regards, Paul
Looking at the photos on the Radio Museum, apart from the differences mentioned by Paul, and the rubbed off screen printing is obvious, the R25 covers the full FM band to 108MHz, whereas the R24 only covered up to 104MHz.

That's interesting that it is really just the scale that's different. Glad this R25 has the normal one.
