Old test gear (esp. broadcast-related) - Tektronix, HP in particular - I've also got a couple of Radiometer SMG1 stereo coders that I'd like to restore - this was the model to which the late great Angus McKenzie often referred during his tenure at HFN&RR. 70s-90s audio, anything RF/antennas/propagation-related (I used to be keen on long-distance Band II VHF-FM many years ago - inspired by Austin Uden, also of HFN&RR).

I also have an SMG1 up in the attic - was working last time I checked it. Lovely things - built like tanks! Let me know if you need me to check anything with mine, and it's possible I might have a spare paper copy of the manual somewhere. I use the much smaller SMG40 in the workshop, but that lacks an FM modulator, so I have to use my HP8656A for that.

I've had a fair bit of broadcast testgear through my hands over the years. I still have the quad standard version of the Tek RM529 waveform monitor though it's not seen power recently. My everyday waveform and vector monitor is a Tek 1755A which I suppose qualifies as vintage these days.

I had the privilege of meeting the late great Angus McKenzie a few times. I live not far from where he lived and used to see him at local classical concerts with his guide dog. I even went to his house a couple of times and heard his superlative hifi kit. ISTR stacked Quad ESLs.

I do vintage test gear and have a very cosmetically challenged TEK7000 that I got for free with a fault in the frame and three faulty plug ins.
It took me a couple of weeks to fix all that lot and still have a ceramic cap to find that causes an offset in one channel in one of the vertical plug ins. I now use it as my main scope.
I also have an LCR bridge that is more than accurate enough for what we do that needed a tricky bit of pot cleaning to get it right.

I run a pair of mid 1950s cinema amps as a main HiFi. They have more volume than I will ever need.

I'd forgotten about this... just closing this out, I would guess jaygar121 = Nimrod, so you are ex-RAF?
