I've restored 2 of these, both have different knobs on the band spread spindle, one looks like it could be sort of right, t'other definitely is wrong.
I've looked at 4 others on eBay listings and they all look different again!
I know these get broken easily when the sets fall forward but I would like a picture or even a knob that is original so I can finish both mine correctly.
Or were there different knobs fitted by Murphy over time?

The 10th picture in the Radio Museum is of a radio that I restored (not very well) in the early days of my new collecting habbit.
I had no reason to believe the central knob on that set was not original, it fitted nicely into the outer knob. Black, flat face with ridge cut thinnish rim. https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/murphy_a104_a_104.html

I've seen those, none of mine look like that!

Which seems to agree with yours. But the poster says it is T shaped which seems at odds with the photo.
I have a similar knob but smaller.

There is another that looks similar but a thinner knob, the spindle is not very long as I remember. Could there of been a change in production?

If you took the knob out and stood it on its stem it would look T shaped with a fat stem and thin cross.
All of the above samples look the same as the one on the radio I had.

A104 knob PICT2763.jpg (Size: 1.97 KB / Downloads: 35) Consensus is that this is the correct one, I would describe it as a penny on a stick with serrated edge.

As luck would have it, no, neither of them! One has a small knob that looks reasonable but wrong, the other has a knob that is obviously off something else, wrong shape and colour and the grub screw only just grips the short spindle.
I'll cast 2 new ones.
