MG car radio connections

Hi Gents, some more assistance please.

I've been asked to use an MG radio cassette with auto reverse with some fairground equipment to get a continuous loop effect.
The radio supplied is a VDO unit 22DC597/60E and it looks unused.
The rover group part number is XQD 101710XXX, also RG597W11003519

It has the usual rectangular 16 pin connector on the rear. This is the one I need connection details for.
It also has a small 10 pin male and a 10pin female connector, presumably for the steering wheel remote inputs.

Hi Trevor, I'll see if I can get it to load. It shows the 10 pin male/ female connectors as well as the larger (actually 17 pins) one.
It will not be used in a car and I have some single crimp connectors that will fit these pins.

Hi Ed.
Thats a BMW type connector so the set is out of a 75 or a MG ZT.
I have the official Rover technical disc (Rave) on the PC in the shed.
I'll post up the relevant data tomorrow.

Hi Ed.
If this is a a Symphony or Harmony it won't loop more than I think three times.
Let me look in RAVE which is the official Rover full workshop manual. Give me an hour.

Is using this radio the right solution to the problem? For a continuous loop of audio surely a cheap MP3 player would be much easier.

Hi Ed.
Fixitnow's link is half correct. The 75 is connected as per the right hand section.
The Headunit will power up OK but wont loop more than 5 times, the set also wont run for more than one hour unless you feed in a signal to the Bus. TBH I think RAVE is wrong there though so long as the permanent live and switched live is connected then it should run forever bar the 5 times loop.

Hi Gents, this was a solution (but not the perfect one) to a problem with an arcade machine of the 50's.
It is powered up for about a minute, then powered down again. We find it loops well and continues to operate for a week or more without attention. The previous non looping domestic cassette needed resetting twice a day. 
More work will  need to be done when it comes off exhibition as :

12v DC is fed into the 3 pins that are B+ to boot it up, this gives a slight delay on starting, volume is at a mid level and can only be increased for that play.
I will look at constantly powering the B+ connection and switching the other 2.
