Cubical Quad Aerial.

Found this article about the construction of a cubical quad aerial in the July 1958 Practical Television magazine.
With the possibility of the heritage TV transmitter coming into being  this aerial might be the answer to reliable reception outside it's service area.
According to the text you can build it for 20 shillings.

Hi.
These aerials were extremely popular with Amateurs at one time, their gain vs size of a yagi is higher and I believe less prone to noise from interference.
I do know of one person that used the cubical quad for band one DX in the days gone by with much greater success than using a 5 element yagi, so yes this is a good idea and an easy build.
