Selena radio standing wire

Hello all

I will soon begin a thread about the restoration of some "new" Soviet radios which has been recently added to my little collection thanks to the good will of friends and neigbourgs. I've been working by these days on a Selena B215 for my uncle, and then curiosity arose. I have noticed that on most Selenas (excluding Selena Quintanilla and Selena Gomez), there's a short wire standing in the demodulation section. (See picture)

What is the purpose of that wire?

Is it one wire or two?
Two wires twisted together were often used instead of a small Capacitor.

Has it got the FM discriminator voltage on it?
I'd also guess a test point for alignment, is that a preset resistor there?

Sorry Mike but my knowledge about radio is not so deep. I don't have a clue what you're talking about. I understand how AM works but nothing about FM demodulation. Sorry. I guess that that wire is the point marked "KT" but not sure (see attachment). The dotted line in the circuits represents the magnetic enclosure of this section.

If point KT is that piece of wire then that's the output from the FM discriminator.

I will check that on the PCBs that I have at home. If that is the case, what would be its purpose then?

Hi Miguel, as the others suggested, it is just a test point for setting up the FM discriminator,  as the circuit board on the set is quite cramped its just the manufacturers  way of making it accessible.

It's used when aligning the FM discriminator circuit. D20, D21, R49, R50, etc., are the FM discriminator (i.e. demodulator).
