Tannoy Microphone

Can anyone put a model number/date to this small Tannoy Microphone.

It is quite small less than 2 inches across and is probably moving coil.

An internet search proved fruitless.

I agree that it's most likely to be moving coil. Certainly not ribbon or condenser and very unlikely to be carbon. That striking Tannoy logo is identical to the frets on my post-war 1940s Tannoy cabinet speakers. I'd also place that 'suspension in a ring' around the same period.
