Thanks for that Mike, a good read, in a way it reminded of the TPTG oscillator although it's not exactly the same but introducing R only from the anode tank by resonating at the same frequency of the grid tank stops oscillation...sort of analogy.

The last regen I cobbled up worked best with a low anode and screen voltage, somewhere around the 20 volts mark as I remember.
