PL44 a worthy substitute for PL41?

I have used 10P13 valves as a sub for PL41 with good results but even these are now scarce and expensive for repairing 50's radios


Apart from the obvious connections difference, the anode is top cap, is PL44 a worthy substitute? Any serious alterations to the circuits?

Any other suggestions?

Senior moment, UL41 and UL44 valves of course, been fixing TVs too long today. Sorry to confuse, question stands.

Never tried a UL44 but why not?
I have in the past replaced a UL41 with a 10P13 and I am sure I mentioned this on another forum some years ago.
Same with ECL80 in some sets a PCL83 & 30PL1 will work too often with just two pins connected together.
Bush TV22 Frame 30PL1 straight fitment just reset height and lin.
