The Valve Museum thinks that range of Valves wasn't available until the late '40s.

Most interesting. Looks like variable selectivity via a tertiary winding on the second IF.

Never seen one for sale, must be quite rare.

The RBZ receiver used the 1T4 and the 1R5, apparently production of that receiver started in 1943:

The reason I asked was twofold. First, once such Dates appear in 'Print' they tend to get propagated. Second, Post-war Portables, such as the Pye 75B which was released in 1946, still used the '30' Series Octal Valves, which would seem a bit strange if B7G Valves were available 3 years earlier. It wasn't until 1949 as far as I can tell that Pye used the '91' Series Valves, a full 6 Years after they were apparently available.

Not counting the MCR-1 and it's American equivalent, what other Sets were those Valves used in before the end of WWII?

The Sweetheart receiver used them, made during WW2, I'm not sure about domestic stuff Alan.
