Why would Intelli-Studio keep stating 'You do not have the latest version of Adobe Flas Player' when I've just installed the latest version, and, with it 'McAfee Total Security!), and updated 'Intelli-Studio' to the latest version?

Could be due to McAfee 'not cooperating'. I'd try this: remove McAfee and replace it with Avast! (free version) as a trial. If the reported problem then does not re-appear, that implies McAfee was the cause - so you'll then need to 'talk' to McAfee about it. However, if the reported problem does re-appear, then that implies a problem with Adobe: so you'll then need to 'talk' to them.
My experience with McAfee and Adobe is such that it could easily be either - or possibly both - each not wishing to co-exist with the other!

When I performed the Adobe update, Al, it automatically installed McAfee total security, which, IMHO, I don't need, since I already have Bitdefender, so I may uninstall McAfee to see if it cures what is only a minor irritation after all. What happens is that, when I upload still pictures from my camcoder, I can't view them directly in Intelli-Studio, but have to click an 'open explorer' link, where I can then view all photos anyway.

You have the option, during the Acrobat install, to NOT install McAfee - it is installed by default unless you specify otherwise (untick the box).

Basically, it's rubbish. Don't install it.

Err, yes - something along that line of thought was what I had in mind. I seem to recall that many years long since past (MS-DOS & Windows 3.11, then later with Windows 98), I discovered that McAfee software left a lot to be desired.

I've removed McAfee, but when opening 'Intelli-Studio' that still insists that I don't have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed, despite the fact that in the Programs list it is definetly shown as being installed!!

Are you using Chrome? If so, it has an "hard wired" version pre-installed that is only upgradable when Chrome itself is upgraded (go to "Tools -> About Chrome" and update Chrome if needed).

Otherwise, install the latest Adobe Flash Player directly from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Nick, I'm using Firefox (the current version) and I did install Adobe Flash Player from their site, albeit going there from a link in 'Intelli-Studio', which took me to exactly the same page as 'http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/'

Ok. Firefox seems to have some problems with Intelli Studio (do a Google search) - have you tried to use IE or Chrome instead - if they work, then the problem is with Firefox. The latest version of Flashplayer seems to be 14...

Not all applications work well with all browsers. Manufacturers now normally only test with the big boys (Chrome & IE) - Firefox is the 3rd largest (12% typically) so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it had crumbly bits.

I use Firefox, latest Version, and Flashplayer, again latest Version, crashes occasionally, so I suspect there is a compatability problem.
