LibreOffice Problems

I've been using both OpenOffice and the later version LibreOffice for a few years now, however somethings changed and I don't know why, when I go to the 'Font Name' box all the standard fonts have gone, no more Times New Roman or Arial, I now for example have these,

mry_KacstQurn
Phetsarath OT
WenQuanYi Micro Hei Mono

Plus many more of which nearly all are Asian, the 'Liberation Serif' I'm using now is one of the exceptions, I've looked in 'Tools' and 'Options' etc, but can't find any way of changing it, and the defaults are all set to 'English UK'

Can anyone please help.

It sounds like an Asian set of fonts have been installed. I suggest uninstalling it completely and downloading a fresh copy to install. Maybe, inadvertently, an Asian update was installed. I had similar problems about 2 months ago.

Thanks Colin,

It looks like I'll have to do that, in the meantime though I've noticed that if I open a page of text that was written before this problem occured I can still use the original font, so for the moment I've saved one of these pages, now blank, as a 'Times New Roman' template.
