I have a desktop ATX unit that has fancy meters that I have owned for some years.
The audio VU meter has always showed some strange habits.
It does wave when a music file is played but every now and again the pointer will move over and wack the top stop.
Sometimes it will take a couple of wacks at the top stop one after the other.
These pulses don't appear to come out on the amplified speakers.
I am wondering if anyone has found out how to stop one of these things from making the distracting clicking noises apart from disconnecting it completely.
It does this about every minute or two.
It has done this on several motherboards.
