Have acquired a Marconi 556 , 1936 ? in need of lots of attention ! the backs missing and also the two lower knobs . anyone any info ,experience of this model ?

Thanks Joe, a quick look at the diagram shows that the smoothing can has been removed from the chassis at some point in its life .
