A mate of mine turned up last week with a request to find one of the above.
It wasn't difficult to find pictures on the net and he had an 'empty' one.

So, what next?
It's a 3V Battery so it's necessary to get two Cells in there, and as it's connected to a Filament Bulb - more later - a sensible Capacity is called for. A brief search showed that a couple of 2/3AAs would fit, and give adequate capacity. They're readily available as replacement for Cordless Phones for not very much.
It was then a matter of turning up a couple of Brass Plugs, one with a Pip to stick out at the closed Positive end and a plain one for the negative end. These were soldered on to the Plugs.
The whole lot was then installed into the empty Battery Case, supported with a bit of Foam, and the Negative end held in place with a dab of Glue.
