Tonfunk Console

I picked this up on Christmas Day - my first console set to restore. Since it has a record changer in it I figured this is the best place to post. I'm not sure when I'll get started on it but given it's size I'm hoping it will sound really nice.
It's model number is W365 -3D KL and it's from 1956. I've found a manual for the record changer but no luck so far with a circuit diagram for the radio. I've found some diagrams that are close but none that is a proper match to what's in this console.

Hi Alan,
ECC85, ECH81, EF89, EABC80, EL84, and EM85
The dial glass says 'Violetta' which seems to be the trade name they used for many of their table top sets. The RM site lists many Violetta's so it may be a case of I can't see the wood for the trees. In any case I'm hopeful one of them will be close enough.

Yes the one shown is for 45's - I found the one for LP's lying inside behind the turntable. I even found the shipping screws for the turntable - shame I didn't know they were there before we lugged it into the back of my car!

I'm not into 50's consoles but really like that one. As Alan said the colour is pleasing and it looks compact so not taking up much floor space.

The cabinet looks in exceptional condition as well so no major refinishing.

A drawback is you would have to get on your knees to use the record player. I guess you put on a stack of LPs and sit back, with a suitable glass of something of course.

Hi Gary, yes that aspect of the design had me puzzled. Being one who suffers from back problems I'm thinking this will be put on a raised plinth when it's done so I don't have to bend down so far to use it! There also does not seem to be any light in the cabinet so it would be difficult at the best of times to see what you're doing, etc. Later versions quite rightly have the record changer on the top.

Hi Alan, as you'd expect with a model from mid fifties, it only goes to 100Mhz.

I would just knock up a little free standing battery powered lamp with a bulb or LED that looks down over the edge of the shelf above the turn table.
Usually if a lamp was provided from new it would be in parallel with the dial lamp.
