ZX Spectrum and Spectrum +

I have just discovered that these devices have survived a big skip blitz I had about 5 years ago.
I am not a collector of them so what should there fate be?
There are also three more Spectrum cases and two PCBs in the box but no more Spectrum + cases.

A bit grubby but a clean up with a packet of Sainsburys baby wipes will work wonders. If intact you could put up on ebay as a job lot, marked as untested - spares only, and get a few bob for them.

I did that 5 years ago. They did not sell.
The one with a price on it had might as well be tested as it most likely did not sell when the previous owner tested it and priced it up.
They were abandoned by a repair shop that closed for good and I took them on as donors and never got to do any repairs to do so they are just there in storage and I have looked at what they sell for as a part of re-homing them.
One vote for E-bay.
Two more for a sale then.

Give them a clean up, power them up and see which ones are worth selling as a set. Stick on ebay for a low starting price but ensure the postage is adequately covered.

I keep seeing too many dreamers on ebay who under the retro banner try to flog off specs etc with starting prices of £50, bloody idiots. I can understand it if it was something like a ZX80, Jupiter Ace or an Atom, but not a high production machine unless it was one of the very first.

I will keep am eye on the prices and pick my time to sell them. I had more interest else ware at the time I was in the overhead storage.
The only CRT set I have does not have the remote so no chance of tuning the poor thing. The built in VCR works fine though.
If I convert them to RCA there is no problem with a screen as I have a saved one from a media center that converted to all wide sets and if I did not take it it would have gone in a skip. It has a long tube and gives a very sharp picture indeed but no tuner and it was never meant to have one either.
